Lenin Rajendran’s Edavapathy, which stars Bollywood beauty Manisha Koirala in the lead, was delayed after the actress was detected with ovarian cancer. However, she got cured of the disease and the team was hopeful of resuming the shoot of the movie soon. Lenin had even planned to meet Manisha in Mumbai. But the actress, who was back in India after the treatment, soon went to New York on a holiday and the director could not meet up with her to discuss the project.
Now, we hear that, after much delay, the director and the actress will finally meet at Chennai.
“I spoke to Manisha over the phone and she said that she will be coming to Chennai in the first week of August and will be there for 10-15 days. I presume she is coming for further treatment. However, she has promised to meet me then,” says the director, adding, “The shoot will be further postponed if she has to undergo treatment yet again. However, I will take a final call only after I meet her.” Earlier, the director had told us that he can complete the shoot without her portions. “Though it won’t affect the totality of the movie, as a director, I won’t be happy,” he had said.
